The Embassy of Finland in Hanoi attaches great importance to ensuring environment sustainability and curbing climate change. The whole staff is very committed to working with these issues not only in different projects but also on a personal level in their daily lives. Therefore the Embassy has joined the World Wildlife Fund's (WWF) Green Office programme. It is a simple and light environmental management system, which helps offices to reduce waste and energy. The Green office programme raises awareness on environmental issues among the staff as well as reminds them on practical ways of taking environment into account in their daily consumption manners.
The Green Office service, developed by WWF Finland, has been in operation since 1997. About 7000 office employees are currently involved in the program.
