All applicants applying for visa or residence permit must book an appointment in advance. To avoid any inconvenience or delays, it is strongly recommended that applicants read all the instructions carefully at Embassy’s website to well prepare the application before visiting the Embassy.
Visa applications should be submitted in the Visa Application Center in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh (tel +84 28 3521 2002, http://visa.finland.eu). Finland outsourced the submission of Schengen visa applications in Vietnam on 5 May 2017.
The Embassy will accept visa applications by appointment only. These appointments are also booked by the Visa Application Centre.
Appointments for residence permits can be made at the Immigration Section: firstname.lastname@example.org or tel. +84 24 3826 6788 (Monday-Thursday between 13.00-15.00)
Please make sure you arrive at the Embassy or the Visa Application Center at the appointed time.

Fraud documentation or information is likely to lead to refusal of an application.
To offer extra money or gifts is considered as bribery and is against the policy of the Embassy and the Laws of Vietnam and Finland.

Application languages: either in English, Finnish or Swedish. Documents in Vietnamese must be accompanied by an official English translation for visa application and legalized version for residence permit application. See more information about Legalization.
Supporting documents: must be in A4-sized paper, submitted at the same time at the service counter of the Embassy.
Service fees: charged in Vietnam dongs. Applicant receives a bank slip from the Embassy to pay the service fee to the bank account of Immigration Section at Vietcombank. A hand-written receipt will be issued by the Embassy and it must be carefully kept by the applicant for further reference. The application fee is non-refundable. The fees are subject to change due to exchange rate fluctuations. EU/EEA-citizen’s family members can apply Schengen visa for free of charge. See current updated details under Service fees.
