Starting from 1.2.2013, all applicants applying for visa or residence permit must book an appointment with the Embassy in advance. To avoid any inconvenience or delays, it is strongly recommended that applicants read all the instructions carefully at Embassy’s website to well prepare the application before visiting the Embassy.

Application languages: either in English, Finnish or Swedish. Documents in Vietnamese must be accompanied by an official English translation for visa application and legalization version for residence permit application. See more information about Legalization.
Supporting documents: must be in A4-sized paper, submitted at the same time at the service counter of the Embassy. Applications or supporting document incomplete or sent by post, email or fax will not be accepted.
Service fees: charged in Vietnam dongs. Applicant receives a bank slip from the Embassy to pay the service fee to the bank account of Immigration Section at Vietcombank at 29B Hai Ba Trung street, Hanoi. A hand-written receipt will be issued by the Embassy and it must be carefully kept by the applicant for further reference. The application fee is non-refundable. The fees are subject to change due to exchange rate fluctuations. EU/EEA-citizen’s family members can apply Schengen visa for free of charge. See current updated details under Service fees.
