The EU-Vietnam Business Network (EVBN) is a project co-funded by the European Union and established in 2014. Companies benefit from coaching, match making and substancial logistical and financial support. The following missions are open for applications:
EEP Support for project preparation
EEP Mekong has opened a continuous call of applications to support project preparation of sustainable energy projects, particularly on bioenergy and Waste-to-Energy (W2E) technology. Also other clean energy projects (Renewable Energy – Energy Efficiency) will be considered. The type of grant support can include, e.g. Technical Assistance, to support formulation, management or implementation of the project; or Direct Grant, to finance a specific part of the investment, e.g. Feasibility Study. The Vietnam – Finland Innovation Partnership Programme (IPP) is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) program financed jointly by the governments of Vietnam and Finland. IPP is in its second phase (IPP2) running through 2014-2018 with 11 million EUR budget. IPP supports Vietnam’s overall goal of becoming an innovation-driven knowledge economy. The program’s objective is to generate lasting impact in the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem by supporting the scale up of practices tested on the ground for entrepreneurship and innovation training in universities, financing innovative companies, and creating cross-border business.
IPP targets long-term benefits for the Vietnamese economy and innovation system. The program works with key national and international partners to scale up practical innovation and entrepreneurship training as well as to improve local support mechanisms and programs for Vietnamese new innovative companies. It connects key actors in the ecosystem to build a strong foundation for Vietnam’s next-generation entrepreneurs and promotes innovation and business partnerships between Vietnam and other countries, particularly Finland.
